Time to cut it off?
Whether it's bad habits, time wasting activities, negative people, or a jacket that has always been too long, at what point do you cut it?
Do you dig in your heels? You might think: “I’ve already spent 15 years in this job/relationship/friendship/habit/jacket so I might as well keep going. It's too late for me to start anything new."
or
"Do I cut it off? What will people think? Am I brave enough?"
This could be simply about a jacket that you need to cut, but more likely it's something bigger.
You'll have to make an intentional choice about how you would like to live out the next decade or 5? The current life expectancy for women is 80.2 years, but even if you are 80.2 years old, don't make the mistake of thinking it's too late to make a change. You may live to 105, and you might be kicking yourself later on for wasting those 25(!) years. Life becomes more exciting when you start taking intentional actions every day, even if you start at 80.2 years old.
Maybe you're not ready to say a big goodbye to your toxic friend or your lackluster career, but you can practice making smaller intentional choices everyday. Take a different way home, choose a very different menu item, clean out that backyard shed, and work your way up to cleaning out your bigger backyard shed: your life. You can start small when practicing intentional action, and you'll gain confidence as you make bigger and bigger choices.
And about that too-long jacket, if you haven’t seen this week’s Youtube video where I literally cut off my jacket to the right length, then you can intentionally choose to watch it here: https://youtu.be/lVcnv7eBIgo

Hi Diana,
even from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I enjoy
your videos full of humor and inspiration.
Beautiful scarves, I wish I could buy them all.😉
Kind regards,
Wilma. 👋🙋🏼♀️🌹
Love your videos and scarves! I decided to add scarves instead of hundreds of dollars on new tops, a great decision.. Now I will have my moms camel hair coat shortened so I can wear and enjoy it. You are quite an inspiration dear lovely lady! Thank you!
I am very interested in purchasing a scarf. Please keep me on your list. I truly enjoy your unblahyourself! Your humor, creative insights, and inspiration inspire me!
I had to watch the video twice. The first time I was just enjoying watching the rambunctious kittens. I have always had cats; most of them rescue cats that I got when they were kittens. I have always loved altering, personalizing, and re-purposing items of clothing.
